This guide covers the 0xio Wallet Browser Extension interface for Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera, and Firefox. The desktop and mobile apps share the same concepts (balance overview, Send/Receive/History, and a Privacy hub for Encrypt/Decrypt/Claim) with platform-native layouts; see Desktop Wallet and Mobile Wallet.
The 0xio Wallet Extension provides an intuitive interface for managing your Octra assets and privacy features.

Main Dashboard

When you open the wallet extension, you’ll see your financial overview at a glance.

Balance Card

The main balance card displays:
  • Total Balance - Your combined OCT holdings displayed prominently
  • 24-Hour Chart - Interactive balance history graph showing changes over the past day
  • Percentage Change - Today’s balance change indicator (positive/negative)
  • Eye Toggle - Click to show/hide your balance for privacy
Hover over the balance chart to see your balance at any point in the last 24 hours.

Action Grid

Four main action buttons provide quick access to core functions:

Transfer OCT to other addresses

Receive

Display your wallet address and QR code

History

View complete transaction log

Swap

Exchange tokens (planned; see DEX)

Widget Row

Below the action grid, you’ll find quick-access widgets for additional features.

Token List

Displays your token holdings with:
  • Token symbol and name
  • Current balance
  • Token value (when available)
The header contains:
  • Wallet Selector - Switch between multiple wallets (on main screen). Each wallet shows its own picture, drawn from its address, so you can tell wallets apart at a glance; the mobile app draws the same picture for the same wallet
  • Settings - Access wallet configuration
  • Lock - Quickly lock your wallet

The extension uses a clean single-screen navigation pattern:

Privacy Screen

The Privacy screen is your control center for PVAC-HFHE privacy operations, with three modes:

Encrypt Mode

Move funds from Public → Private balance:
  • Enter amount to encrypt
  • View current public and private balances
  • Execute encryption with one click

Decrypt Mode

Move funds from Private → Public balance:
  • Enter amount to decrypt
  • Balance validation prevents over-decryption
  • Instant balance refresh after operation

Claim Mode

Receive incoming private transfers:
  • Automatic scanning for pending transfers
  • Shows claimable amount
  • One-click claim to your private balance
The Privacy screen shows real-time balance information for both Public (OCT) and Private (FHE) balances with a refresh button to update.

Transaction History

The History screen displays all wallet activity:

Transaction Types

  • Sent - Outgoing transfers (arrow up icon)
  • Received - Incoming transfers (arrow down icon)
  • Encrypt - Public to Private operations
  • Decrypt - Private to Public operations

Transaction Details

Each transaction shows:
  • Transaction type and icon
  • Amount transferred
  • Counterparty address (truncated)
  • Timestamp
  • Status (confirmed/pending)
Click any transaction to view:
  • Full transaction hash
  • Block number
  • Complete addresses
  • Network fee paid
  • Link to block explorer

Lock Screen

When your wallet is locked:
  1. Enter your password
  2. Click “Unlock” or press Enter
  3. Access your wallet
The wallet auto-locks after a period of inactivity (configurable in settings).

Watch-Only Mode

For watch-only wallets (imported via address only):
  • View balances and transaction history
  • Receive funds normally
  • Cannot send transactions
  • Cannot perform privacy operations (Encrypt/Decrypt/Claim)
A visual indicator shows when viewing a watch-only wallet.
Watch-only wallets require the full wallet (with private key) to sign transactions. They are useful for monitoring addresses you don’t control directly.

Quick Actions

Copy Address

  • Click your address in the header or Receive screen
  • Visual confirmation appears
  • Address copied to clipboard

Refresh Balance

  • Click the refresh icon on the Balance Card
  • Or pull down on the main screen
  • Updates both public and private balances

Quick Lock

  • Click the lock icon in the header
  • Or close the extension popup
  • Wallet locks based on your timeout settings
